The Neue Deutsche Härte pioneers OOMPH! are back with their 14th studio album 'Richter und Henker'! With their previous album 'Ritual' (2019), they reached number 1 in the Official German Album Charts for the first time in their over 30-year success story, after having played countless major national and international Tours, as well as festival shows. OOMPH!'s biggest hit to date, 'Augen Auf!' (2004), is a timeless classic and instantly recognizable to any rock fan.

'Richter und Henker' marks a new era in the band's history, with their first lineup change since their start in 1989: CR4P and FLUX, along with new singer DER SCHULZ, are now on stage. The new studio album will be released on September 8, 2023, and was produced and recorded by the band themselves, as usual.

'Richter und Henker' is a clear statement that OOMPH! are back stronger than ever in their new formation and will continue their path in a straight line - musically presenting themselves at the highest level and lyrically as opinionated, biting, and critical as ever. With a strong dose of industrial influence, the album opener 'Wem Die Stunde Schlägt' starts off with a bang (Declared dead, but still standing - Damn it, we're still alive!). The title track 'Richter und Henker' captivates the listener with the perfect symbiosis of haunting guitar hooks and vocals, while delivering a broadside against unreflective and ignorant social movements. New wave influences can be found in the groovy anti-war anthem 'Nur Ein Mensch' - a future hit and a strong statement against warmongering and empty slogans promoting hate and war. None other than genre idol Joachim Witt supports the band on 'Wut'.

In their 34-year career, OOMPH! has established themselves as one of the most influential bands in Germany, inspiring numerous artists, including genre giants Rammstein. With 'Richter und Henker', the trailblazers of Neue Deutsche Härte prove that even after their first lineup change, they still reign at the top of the genre.
