The Berlin band In Extremo is truly extreme - extremely successful in their job, unique in sound, undeterred in their career. They have long been considered at the forefront of German rock music. Their own brand of medieval rock, along with sing-along anthems, has brought the septet several number one albums and gold certifications in Germany. Their concerts and festival performances in all kinds of venues, including legendary ones, have become cult favorites.

On March 27, 2020, In Extremo will release their 13th studio album, 'Kompass zur Sonne,' featuring twelve brand-new tracks. In addition to the standard CD and a Limited Edition red translucent Vinyl (double LP on 180g), a deluxe edition in a hardcover book and a limited fan box (including the deluxe edition, flag (110cm x 75cm), logo patch, 7 postcards, poster DIN A3) will be released. The deluxe CD includes two additional tracks.

The new album, like its predecessor 'Quid Pro Quo,' was recorded at Principal Studios in Senden, Westphalia, with producer Vincent Sorg (Die Toten Hosen, Broilers, among others).

Starting in mid-April, with a concert in Dresden, the next In Extremo concerts will take place. By the way, their upcoming Tour will also be a big birthday celebration, as the band was formed in 1995 and is marking their 25th anniversary. So, raise your glasses!
